【摘要】:ThisTechnicalReportprovidesamethodformeasuringtheresponseofmaterials,productsandassembliesexposedinverticalorientationtocontrolledlevelsofradiantheatingwithanexternaligniter.Thistestmethodisusedtodeterminetheignitability,heatreleaserates,masslossrates,andvisiblesmokedevelopmentofmaterials,productsandassembliesunderwellventilatedconditions.Theheatreleaserateisdeterminedbymeasurementoftheoxygenconsumptionasdeterminedbytheoxygenconcentrationandflowintheexhaustproductstreamasspecifiedin11.1.Smokedevelopmentisquantifiedbymeasuringtheobscurationoflightbythecombustionproductstream.Specimensareexposedtoheatingfluxesrangingfrom0kW/mto50kW/m.Hotwiresareusedastheignitionsource.Thistestmethodhasbeendevelopedformaterial,productorassemblyevaluations,mathematicalmodellinganddesignpurposes.Thespecimenaretestedinthicknessesandconfigurationsrepresentativeofactualendproductorsystemuses.
