【摘要】:1.1ThisEuropeanStandardgivesrulesforimprovingthesafetyofexistingescalatorsandmovingwalkswiththeaimofreachinganequivalentlevelofsafetytothatofanewlyinstalledescalatorandmovingwalkbytheapplicationoftoday’sstateoftheartforsafety.NOTEDuetosituationssuchastheexistingmachineorbuildingdesigns,itmaynotbepossibleinallcasestoreachtoday’sstateoftheartforsafety.Neverthelesstheobjectiveistoimprovethelevelofsafetywhereverpossible.1.2Thisstandardincludestheimprovementofsafetyofexistingescalatorsandmovingwalksfor:a)users;b)maintenanceandinspectionpersonnel;c)personsoutsidetheescalatorormovingwalk(butinitsimmediatevicinity);d)authorisedpersons.1.3Thisstandardisnotapplicableto:a)safetyduringtransport,installation,repairsanddismantlingofescalatorsandmovingwalks;b)spiralescalators;c)acceleratingmovingwalks.However,thisstandardcanusefullybetakenasareferencebasis.
