适用范围
本标准规定了测定润滑剂极压性能的方法，可做下列三种试验。负荷-磨损指数LWI。烧结点PD。最大无卡咬负荷PB。本标准适用于润滑剂。本标准涉及某些有危险性的材料、操作和设备，但是无意对与此有关的所有安全问题都提出建议。因此，用户在使用本标准之前应建立适当的安全和防护措施并确定有适用性的管理制度。本标准采用法定计量单位，括号内给出习惯用的非法定计量单位。
